Raffaele spoke his first four-word sentence today! I am so super-excited! When I came home from work he pointed to my shirt and said, "what color is that?" Earlier in the day, Mr. FloridaWife says that he also asked, "Marco, where are you?" However, he's done "where are you" as an expression many times. The "what color is that?" was totally new though. I was so excited. I put my stuff down and gave him a huge big hug and kiss (which I usually do anyway). He's just so wonderful. I love my 2.5 year old.
Tonight he decided to go to sleep with three of his animals -- the lion, giraffe, and monkey. My little boy looked so adorable in bed with all his little animals. I love raising a boy (and a girl - mustn't leave Theresa out!).

Hello Floridawife. I wanted to ask you something,( not related to this post) My daughter was eating really well but since her baby brother was born, now she wants nothing to eat but milk, bread, olives, and a handful of other things. My question was if your son eventually started eating solids. My daughter was eating well for quite a while. I will be taking her to her ped. this week but I am very concerned because I don't really know what to do. I want to stay clear from the "let her starve until she eats" method but I don't really know. So I just wanted to see how you have gone about this. Sorry for the long email.
Funny. I was wanting to ask you something along the same lines. Our baby girl (now 18 months) is only wanting milk and hardly eating solids. How long did that go on for you guys? What did your doctor say? Should I push her to eat more or not? I've switched her back to Vit D milk.
Marlena, I am so sorry that it is taking me so long to respond. Raffaele still hardly eats solid food and still derives the majority of his nutrition from formula. Although, as the months pass he is eating more and more solids. He is an extremely picky eater. We just go with the flow, and I still remember what one of my friends told me: her nephew consumed nothing but formula for the first three years of life, and now he is eight and eats everything. So, I keep that in mind.
Jen, our doctor told us if we wanted to consult somebody we could. She didn't push it. She just told us to keep offering solids. He still has about 6 bottles of infant formula per day. Looking at the list of vitamins and minerals, there's a lot there, and he is totally thriving and is healthy. So, we are just going with the flow.
Hi, Jen. I'm sorry I didn't respond earlier. We kept putting food in front of him but we wouldn't push it. The doctor said keep trying...
