Update on us
Theresa has been doing wonderfully well. She is seven weeks old today. Supposedly, according to what I remember reading in The Happiest Baby on the Block, seven weeks is the peak of the unconsolable crying and colickiness. This was true of Raffaele; we had some tough nights with him as a newborn. This is not true of Theresa. She doesn't really cry. When she does, I'm right there as quickly as I can be to pick her up and feed her or hold her, and she's fine and tranquil. Theresa has been a pure joy to be around. Raffaele was such a challenge. I remember one morning two years ago when he was an infant, I had spent about 3 hours trying to get him to stop crying. I did everything you're supposed to do. I did The Five S's, I walked, I tried to burp him. Nothing work. My parents showed up around noon just as I had finally put him to sleep. I was completely worn out and shaking. My husband and I went to Chili's. I got a drink. I just needed to calm the nerves.

Yes, somehow, all the experience from our first, passes on to our second baby. It's also been easier with our son. Although the first few months were NON-STOP, things are a bit more organized now. I just felt (still do at times) that I'm juggling here. I've had to learn how to calm MYSELF down when both are crying because of some need they have and I can only attend one at a time (during the day when my husband isn't here) But now, what I like best of having two babies so close in age is that when each one is old enough to speak and ask for a sibling (as most children will and do), they'll see they already have one :-)
So glad that things are going well with your daughter and your son as well!!! I will continue to keep you in my prayers.
7 weeks already! Wow, where does the time go?
I'm so happy to hear that you all are doing well! How wonderful that Theresa is much more laid back and a happy baby.
Hello there! Came to see your blog to see how you are doing. I know you and yours must be so full of joy with your two lovely children!!! Hoping you guys are having a great summer :-) If you are like us (two babies under the age of two, or barely two in ur case) then you must be busy, busy, busy :-) But at the same time, overflowing with love :-)
