We are so awesomely excited (can I use those words in combination?) and are so THANKFUL that our baby is healthy, healthy, healthy. All I want to say is Thanks be to God, and thank you for all this beauty. I was praying last night and today that everything would turn out well. We are truly blessed. So, she's a girl! We are very excited. SO, this will be a whole new ball game for us. I've grown used to the blue clothes with baseballs, footballs, construction vehicles, and dinosaurs. Now we get to move on to pink. I mean, certainly, any color will be fine, including blue, but Mr. FloridaWife would have never permitted pink on Raffaele, so it'll be nice to see some pink around here.

Congratulations on the new baby! I am so thrilled for you! Now you have a boy and a girl! How wonderful!
I am still struggling with endometriosis and trying to get pregnant at forty three. I realize you are a very busy Mama, but I was wondering how did you get your hormones balanced? What medications did you take to help the endo and get those hormones balanced?
I pray the rosary every day for peace and comfort and to be able to accept God's will (I'm trying, but the desire to be a Mama someday never leaves my heart!). I will remember you, your precious children, and family in my prayers!
May God Bless you!
Love,
Maria In Mass
Hi, Maria. I am sorry that you are still struggling. I have thought of you from time to time and prayed for you ever since you first posted on my blog.
To answer your question, my hormones were never noticed to be out of balance. I wish I could say something in that regard to help you. As far as endometriosis is concerned, my RE never diagnosed me with it, BUT I had HALF the symptoms and I went to Chinese Medicine (for acupuncture and Chinese herbs) and SHE diagnosed me with Blood Stasis (which is basically the Chinese diagnosis for endometriosis). So, I received treatment from her for five months and then I went back to my RE and I took a supplement of progesterone during my luteal phase, and that's how I became pregnant with Raffaele.
(For the record, my own progesterone levels always measured in the healthy range, actually a high, healthy normal, but for some unexplained reason, my RE says that some women need extra. I really think it was because the endometriosis was making my endometriosis inhospitable, and the progesterone gave it that extra boost. I should also mention that after five months of acupuncture and Chinese herbs nearly all of my endometriosis symptoms went away. But after five months I wanted to speed things up so that's why I got the extra progesterone.)
Since pregnancy "fixes" endometriosis, this time it was not a struggle. So, it was all a matter of achieving that first pregnancy for me. I hope you get that first pregnancy soon.
I hope you find something here in my response to help you. I wish I could say something more.
Thank you for checking back in, as I have often wondered how you were doing.
Take care and God bless.
